-----------------------------------------------------------------------

FROM January 5, 2023 – IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 51 MONTHS AND LESS THEN 63 MONTHS IN ISRAEL - WITHOUT AN EMPLOYER – YOU CAN WORK ONLY AS A RELIEVER!

Before reading this, please review the note from Kav Laoved on the relievers regulation from 2019:

1. You should always get a registration letter (Placement Letter) from the agency where your new employer is registered. Don't hesitate to ask and demand the letter from the beginning of your relieving work - it is very important for you as evidence for your legal registration in the Ministry of Interior. If the agency tells you that there is a problem with the registration- make sure you understand what the problem is. Attached below is a sample of the Placement Letter.

2. When you start your first relieving job - the agency must also arrange for you a Reliever's Visa. We will add to this post a sample of this visa when we see an updated visa.

3. IMPORTANT: The “BITUACH” company which pays you a salary does not register you in the Ministry of Interior, and getting the salary from the"Bituach" is not evidence of such registration. You should be registered by a manpower agency (Placement Agency). Make sure you know the Placement Agency's name and contact information.

4. Only relieving jobs for caregivers who leave Israel with a re-entry visa are legal relieving jobs – of a minimum of 21 days and a maximum of 90 days.

5. Relieving jobs can be legally registered only within 30 days after the last registered assignment is terminated.

6. Registration of the reliever can be performed only after the permanent caregiver leaves Israel. Take this into account when accepting a reliever's job, so the dates fit into your 30-day interval.

7. Due to the high probability of problems for this renewed process - you'd better document every step in the communication with the agency – the WhatsApp messages, the phone calls, etc. - and save all, to be used if a problem arises.
