October 7 will forever be etched in our memories as a day of terror, anguish, and uncertainty. But amid the darkness that engulfed the world on that fateful day, there emerged tales of heroism, resilience, and unyielding spirit — tales that were predominantly centered around the indomitable bravery of Filipinos. As the shocking events unfolded and as many scrambled to find safety, there were those who, despite the inherent risks, stood their ground, safeguarding not only their own lives but also the lives of those they were committed to serving.

 

"Saturday, October 7, 2023, will forever be remembered in the history of Israel and the Jewish people as one of the most tragic days. The terrible events, including a massacre and horrifying acts against civilians, will remain etched in our memories. The caregiving community was deeply affected by these events: three caregivers lost their lives, two were kidnapped, two are still missing, and one is injured. Many caregivers displayed incredible bravery, tirelessly looking after their patients and others for long hours. Nearly all caregivers chose to stay in Israel during these difficult times out of their dedication and concern for their patients.
