We would like to inform caregivers in Israel about important minimum wage updates that will take effect in 2026. These updates affect salary amounts, deductions, allowances, and net pay, so it is important to be informed and check your payslip.
📌 Minimum Wage Increase – April 2026
Starting April 2026, the minimum wage in Israel will increase by 3.3%.
New minimum wage:

₪35.4 per hour
This increase was approved after negotiations to prevent wage freezing and to help workers manage the rising cost of living.
📌 Minimum Wage as of January 2026
As of January 2026, the gross monthly minimum wage is:

This applies nationwide, including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa & Central Area, North Area, and South Area.
📌 Allowed Salary Deductions (According to the Law)
Employers may deduct certain costs, but total deductions must not exceed 25% of the caregiver’s gross monthly salary.
Allowed deductions include:

National insurance
Additional notes:

Weekly cash advances (“pocket money”) are deducted from salary

Up to 10% of wages may be paid in food and beverages, only with the caregiver’s consent
📌 Daily Allowance Rates
Caregivers are entitled to the following payments:

Recuperation day: ₪418

Annual vacation day: ₪250
-
Holiday / weekend work day: ₪426.35
