Intro

Christmas home leave is the biggest reliever season of the year. Many caregivers fly home in December, and families need a replacement for every one of them. Reliever jobs pay 350–450 NIS a day (or more...).

This guide shows you how to get a great reliever job on iSavta: how to prepare your profile, when to start searching, and how to update your ad step by step.

The 3 keys to getting hired

Families looking for a reliever decide fast, often in hours. These three things decide who they call first.

  1. A smiling photo. It is the first thing a family sees. A clear, friendly photo builds trust in one second. Profiles without a photo get fewer calls.
  2. Recommendations. Most caregivers on iSavta already have them. Without one, families skip your profile. Ask your current or past employer to write one on iSavta. It takes them about 3 minutes.
  3. An updated profile with your available dates. Reliever jobs have exact dates. Write your exact start date and how long you are free. Families filter for dates, so a clear date gets you seen.

When to start searching

  • Out of work now? Start today. Families planning December leave are already posting jobs.
  • Working now? Start 2–4 weeks before your current job ends. Apply for reliever jobs that start the day after you finish, so you have no gap.
  • Finishing one reliever job? Apply for the next one while you are still working. You can chain several jobs through December and January.

The best jobs go to the caregivers who apply first, not only the most experienced.

  1. Open the iSavta job board.
  2. Job type: choose Reliever.
  3. Area: choose the relevant area.
  4. Salary: use the salary filter to see the best-paying jobs first.
  5. Open each job. Check the dates and the daily rate.
  6. Apply to every job that fits your dates. One click per job. The family gets your profile in their inbox right away.

Update your profile

  1. In your personal zone, open your profile.
  2. Job type: add Reliever.
  3. Availability: enter your exact start date.
  4. About me: write 3–4 short sentences. Your experience, what you are good at, and that you are available for reliever jobs.
  5. Save.

Add recommendations

  1. Open the recommendations section.
  2. Send the request link to your employer. They write the recommendation directly on iSavta.

Never write your phone number or address in your photo, video or About me text.

How to take the best smiling photo

  • Light: stand facing a window in daylight. No light behind you. No flash. Turn 360 degrees to find the best angle.
  • Focus: clean your camera lens. Hold the phone still at eye level and tap your face on the screen to focus.
  • Shoulders: show your head and shoulders. Not only your face, not your full body.
  • Smile: a real, relaxed smile. Look straight at the camera.
  • Background: a plain wall. No other people, no mess.
  • Clothes: clean and simple, like a work day.
  • No filters, no sunglasses. Families want to see the real you.

Take 10 photos and choose the best one. It takes 5 minutes and can change how many calls you get.
